Advertising Sales Executive

Freelance Technology Journalist / Remote Reporter

Join our outstanding team of journalists and reporters who produce original daily news and insightful features for ECT News Network. Openings are available for experienced technology journalists who can write 2 to 5 articles per week.
Hours: Variable.
Background: A journalism degree and at least five years of professional
writing experience.
Skill Set: In-depth knowledge of the technology industry, outstanding writing
and interviewing skills, a firm grasp of AP style, ready access to a broad range of expert
sources, and the ability to write intelligently for a savvy audience of C-Level executives,
IT professionals and consumer electronics enthusiasts.
Compensation: Varies depending on experience and assignments.

Technology News Editor

Candidates must have a passion for technology, a genuine knowledge of the high-tech industry, and the ability to edit news and feature articles for an intelligent audience of business executives, technology professionals and enthusiasts.
Hours: 7am to 4pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
Background: A journalism degree and at least three years of professional editing experience.
Skill Set: In-depth knowledge of the technology industry, expertise in AP style, outstanding copy-editing and grammar skills, and the ability to edit at various levels, ranging from proofreading to developmental editing. Some writing of news and feature articles is also required.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience and knowledge of the technology industry.

Graphic Artist

Responsibilities include designing and producing graphic images for the ECT News Network online publications, layout and design of electronic and print marketing materials, organizing projects on tight deadlines, logically archiving all electronic media, and assisting with Web design, including creation of logos and interactive media ads.
Hours: 7am to 4pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
Background: Minimum three to five years of electronic media and print publishing.
Skill Set: Expert-level computer skills working in Mac and Windows environments with all Adobe CS software, Quark and Microsoft Office programs. Experience creating online graphics, Web design and HTML programming mandatory. Flash programming and/or animation skills a plus. Knowledge of pre-press for digital screen and offset printing. Must be able to execute the graphic development of printed materials from concept through final production and balance creativity with meeting tight deadlines.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
